1. Introduction

Welcome to Tara Ride Egypt (“Tara Ride”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tara Ride mobile applications, website, platform, and related technology services within the Arab Republic of Egypt.

By accessing or using Tara Ride services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the platform.

Tara Ride Egypt operates as a technology platform that connects riders with independent third-party drivers for transportation services.

Tara Ride Egypt does not provide transportation services, does not operate as a transportation carrier, and does not employ drivers as employees, agents, or representatives.

All transportation services are independently provided by third-party drivers using the Tara Ride platform.

 

2. Eligibility

To use the Tara Ride platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be legally capable of entering binding agreements under Egyptian law
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain valid payment information where required

Tara Ride reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not comply with these eligibility requirements.

 

3. User Accounts

Users must create and maintain an active account to access the platform.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account confidentiality
  • Securing your login credentials
  • All activities conducted under your account

You must immediately notify Tara Ride if you suspect unauthorized access or misuse of your account.

Tara Ride reserves the right to verify user identity and request supporting documentation where necessary.

 

4. Platform Services

Tara Ride provides digital intermediation services that enable users to:

  • Request transportation services from independent drivers
  • Track rides using GPS technology
  • Access ride history and trip details
  • Process payments through supported payment methods
  • Communicate with drivers through the platform

Tara Ride only provides technology and platform-related services connecting riders and independent drivers.

Tara Ride does not guarantee:

  • Driver availability
  • Vehicle availability
  • Ride acceptance
  • Estimated arrival times
  • Uninterrupted platform access

Service availability may vary depending on:

  • User location
  • Demand levels
  • Traffic conditions
  • Weather conditions
  • Internet connectivity
  • Technical or operational issues

 

5. User Conduct

Users agree to use the platform lawfully and responsibly.

Users must not:

  • Engage in fraudulent activities
  • Submit fake ride requests
  • Abuse promotions or referral systems
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse drivers or users
  • Damage vehicles or property
  • Transport illegal or hazardous materials
  • Use the platform for unlawful activities

Users and passengers must not engage in:

  • Smoking inside vehicles
  • Drug or narcotics use
  • Illegal activities during rides
  • Violence or threatening behavior

Tara Ride reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts violating these Terms.

 

6. Independent Drivers

Drivers using the Tara Ride platform are independent third-party service providers.

Tara Ride:

  • Does not employ drivers
  • Does not control drivers’ schedules or operations
  • Does not own transportation vehicles
  • Does not act as a transportation carrier

Drivers are solely responsible for transportation services provided through the platform.

 

7. Booking, Pricing & Payments

Ride prices may vary based on:

  • Distance
  • Duration
  • Traffic conditions
  • Demand levels
  • Promotions
  • Applicable taxes and fees

Users may pay using:

  • In-app digital payments
  • Wallet balance
  • Cash payments where available

All charges are payable immediately after service completion.

Users authorize Tara Ride to process payments using the selected payment method.

Tara Ride may temporarily pre-authorize payment methods to verify sufficient balance.

 

8. Cancellation Policy

Users may cancel ride requests before driver arrival.

Cancellation fees may apply depending on:

  • Timing of cancellation
  • Driver arrival status
  • Repeated cancellations

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed according to Tara Ride policies.

 

9. Wallets, Promotions & Promo Codes

Tara Ride may offer:

  • Promotional discounts
  • Wallet credits
  • Referral rewards
  • Promo codes

Promotions:

  • Have no cash value
  • May expire
  • Cannot be transferred or resold
  • May be revoked in cases of suspected abuse or fraud

Tara Ride reserves the right to withhold promotional balances during investigations where permitted by law.

 

10. GPS & Location Tracking

Tara Ride uses GPS and location-based services to:

  • Match riders and drivers
  • Enable navigation
  • Improve safety
  • Monitor trip activity
  • Prevent fraud

By using the platform, users consent to the collection and processing of real-time location information during active use of the platform.

 

11. Communication & Notifications

By creating an account, users agree to receive:

  • SMS messages
  • Phone calls
  • Push notifications
  • Emails

Communications may include:

  • Ride updates
  • Security notifications
  • Promotions
  • Service announcements
  • Support communications

Standard mobile carrier charges may apply.

Users may opt out of promotional communications where permitted.

 

12. User Content

Users may submit ratings, reviews, feedback, or support requests through the platform.

By submitting content, users grant Tara Ride a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content for platform operations and improvements.

Users remain responsible for ensuring submitted content:

  • Is lawful
  • Does not infringe third-party rights
  • Is not abusive or misleading

 

13. Repair & Cleaning Fees

Users may be charged reasonable repair or cleaning fees for damage caused to driver vehicles beyond normal wear and tear.

Such charges may include:

  • Interior cleaning
  • Damage repair
  • Replacement costs

Tara Ride may facilitate collection of such charges through the platform payment system.

 

14. Fraud Prevention & Account Investigation

Tara Ride reserves the right to investigate accounts involved in suspected:

  • Fraudulent activity
  • Fake ride requests
  • Payment abuse
  • Chargeback abuse
  • Identity misrepresentation
  • Promotional abuse
  • Harassment or threats
  • Multiple fake accounts
  • Illegal activities

During investigations, Tara Ride may:

  • Restrict platform access
  • Suspend accounts
  • Withhold wallet balances
  • Freeze promotions or refunds
  • Permanently terminate accounts

where permitted under Egyptian law.

 

15. Privacy

Use of the platform is also governed by the Tara Ride Privacy Policy.

By using the platform, users consent to the collection and processing of personal information in accordance with applicable Egyptian data protection laws.

Tara Ride does not sell or rent personal data to unrelated third parties.

 

16. Emergency Disclaimer

Tara Ride Egypt is not an emergency transportation service.

The platform must not be used for:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Ambulance services
  • Law enforcement emergencies
  • Public safety emergencies

In emergencies, users must immediately contact the appropriate emergency authorities in Egypt.

 

17. Intellectual Property

All platform content including:

  • Logos
  • Trademarks
  • Software
  • Designs
  • Text
  • Graphics

are the property of Tara Ride or its licensors.

Users may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit platform content without prior written permission.

 

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Egyptian law, Tara Ride shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or business
  • Service interruptions
  • Technical failures
  • Driver conduct
  • Traffic delays
  • Losses arising from independent driver services

The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.

 

19. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tara Ride, its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Misuse of the platform
  • Violation of laws
  • Infringement of third-party rights

 

20. Suspension & Termination

Tara Ride may suspend or terminate accounts at any time where users:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Create safety risks
  • Misuse the platform

Users may stop using the platform at any time.

 

21. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Egypt.

 

22. Changes to Terms

Tara Ride reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Updated Terms will become effective upon publication through the application or website.

Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
